God loves you, even if our website sucks at the moment...
Music is integral to who we are at Summerfield.
In Traditional Worship:
Our choir will be one of the best you've ever heard. With a core quartet of professional singers, the choir is able to sing everything from classical to folk to contemporary choral music with inspiring quality. Quality solos and small group numbers are part of each week's worship. Our choir director, John Shaw, is a professional music educator.
Our keyboardist is also very talented. In addition to playing the organ and piano for us, the Rev. James Correnti (Jim to all of us) is an ordained pastor who is currently a professional piano player. He also teaches keyboarding at two Philadelphia-area universities.
In Contemporary Worship:
Our contemporary service includes a variety of music.
Congregational music includes singing to guitar accompianment and to recordings of some of today's top worship music.
Performed music includes live solos and group performances, and hip hop and rock videos.
If I were to have a heart attack right at this moment, I hope I would have just enough air in my lungs and just enough strength in me to utter one last sentence as I fell to the floor: "What a ride!" - Mike Yaconelli
