Reinhard Kruse, who was pastor of Summerfield in the late 1980s and early 1990s, passed on to the next life on Friday, November 11. The funeral service is planned for Sunday, November 20, at 2 PM at Arch Street UMC, 55 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107.

Summerfield joined together with Friends of Konrad Square, Philadelphia Parks & Rec, the Philadelphia Fire Department, and other groups and neighbors in the Konrad Square fall cleanup. An incredible amount of cleaning and repristinating was accomplished. Thanks to everyone who participated! (It went much better than taking this flawed photo did.)

Summerfield now has a bounce castle! Its first outing was at the Fishtown Halloween Party as shown at about 57 seconds into this YouTube video. We look forward to showing many other children (and adults!) God’s love as we share the joy!
